Virtual Reality - Is It Worth Our TIME?

Greetings family,

The purpose of this post is to tackle an important topic pertaining to the increasing traction around virtual reality and the Tech giants' gorilla marketing towards our people.

It is fortunate that Afro-centric influencers are taking up to the net, warning our brothers and sisters about the newly launched virtual social media platforms (the metaverse to mention one of them), reminding us that the scramble of Africa is no longer only about tangible commodities such as water, gold or land as the oppressor is now desperately focusing on our spiritual space, trying to get chunks of Eternity out of our hands.

You might wonder, how on earth would they manipulate us into this trap?

Well, based on the assumption that time is money, I will demonstrate through a comment I shared on one platform I look up to, the Dr Mumbi's Spiritual Show, how they are trying to steal our time and attention, leading us into further poverty and dismay.

I posted the following comment in response of her wake up call regarding the latest virtual controversy about the NFT virtual salves auction. To find out more about the controversy, please check her video below, at the end of this post (Let us send our views and clicks' dollars to her)!

My comment went as followed:

'They' are trying to outsmart us, using our emotions and marketing strategies. THEY WANT US in the metaverse to sell their targeted ads because we are outnumbering them, we are several billions of us if we count the diasporas + the natives.

Who are 'they'? Well, 'they' are the ones oppressing our people, near and far, for more than 400 years now. Trying to sell us narratives, lying about our true identity and potential, to maintain us into captivity and neo-colonialism, while providing our governments with harmful medical solutions and fake agri-business options, to solve hunger and climate situations that 'they' created for their gain.

So 'they' put a controversy up, we get emotional, we jump on their websites and then we click, left, right and center while seeing 2D, 3D ads --> they make money, our Black people do not get a penny from the masquerade. Every time we click, posting comments mentioning their stakeholders brand names, they make even more money as we freely advertise them. How they would manipulate us to get in? Well, telling us that there are virtual fights we need to get in, they tell us: Hey Black person, go fight the virtual slave auctions over there etc.. etc...That way we do not focus on our offline reality. Satan knows it has no time left, so the Metaverse is a tool for them to buy time from us. Not only they do not have natural resources left, but they do no have TIME left. Their world has already ended. Only we can prolong their world by being naive and giving our time and attention. How come we won the war, and still do not have faith enough to go build our own. Let us ignore them, good day my people.

What is your take on this people? How about keeping out views and clicks for ourselves?

Please do not hesitate to reach out at: making.africa@criptext.com if you would like to be a contributor to our vision.

Peace!
